- Drag the start and end handles, or type the times. Preview plays only the selection.
- Add fade in or fade out if you like and choose the output format.
- Press Cut and download. For an iPhone ringtone choose M4R and keep it under 40 seconds.

How do I make a ringtone?
Select up to 30 seconds, add a short fade out and save as MP3 for Android or M4R for iPhone. On iPhone, import the M4R with Finder, iTunes or GarageBand.
Does cutting lower the quality?
The selection is re-encoded once. At 192 kbps or more the difference cannot be heard; choose WAV or FLAC to keep it lossless.
Can I cut the sound from a video?
Yes. Drop the video, select the part and save it as audio.
