      How to use

      1. Click the left button 20–30 times with normal single clicks, then the right and middle buttons.
      2. Also hold a button down for a few seconds: a worn switch may briefly release and press again.
      3. Red entries in the log are suspicious double presses. The verdict appears after ten clicks.

      Frequently asked questions

Why does my mouse double click?

The metal contact in the switch wears or oxidizes over time and bounces when pressed, so one press is seen as two. It is the most common mouse fault.

      What threshold should I use?

Real intentional double clicks rarely come faster than 80–100 ms. Chatter is usually under 30 ms. Lower the threshold if you click very fast on purpose.

      Can it be fixed?

Sometimes cleaning or rapidly clicking the switch helps for a while. A permanent fix is replacing the switch or the mouse; many mice are covered by warranty for this fault.
