Which format should I choose?
MP4 (H.264) plays almost everywhere: phones, TVs, WhatsApp and websites. WebM is good for the web, MOV for Apple apps, MKV keeps several audio and subtitle tracks.
Will the quality drop?
In fast mode the video stream is copied without changes, so there is no quality loss. If re-encoding is needed, a high quality setting is used, but the file size may change.
Why is re-encoding slow?
