      How to use

      1. Press start and allow location access.
      2. Wait for the first fix. With GPS, accuracy should improve to under about 20 m outdoors.
      3. Leave the device still for a minute: the dots should stay in a tight cluster.
      4. Walk or drive to see speed and heading.

      Frequently asked questions

      Accuracy is hundreds of meters.

      The browser may be using Wi-Fi or cell towers instead of GPS. Turn on high accuracy, enable location services and go outside.

      Speed and heading are empty.

      They are only reported while moving and by devices with real GPS hardware. Most laptops estimate location from Wi-Fi.

      Is my location sent anywhere?

      No. The position is shown only on this page. The map link opens OpenStreetMap only if you click it.
