    How to use

    1. Connect the controller by USB cable (most reliable) or pair it over Bluetooth.
    2. Press "Connect controller" and pick it from the browser list.
    3. Move and tilt the controller: the gyroscope bars and the level show the motion sensors. Touch the touchpad with one or two fingers.
    4. Change the light bar color, test the left and right rumble motors and, on a DualSense, the adaptive trigger resistance.

    Frequently asked questions

Why is the connect button disabled?

This test uses WebHID, which is available only in Chromium-based desktop browsers such as Chrome, Edge and Opera. In other browsers, use the general gamepad test for buttons and sticks.

Steam or DS4Windows is running. Does it matter?

Yes. Programs that take control of the controller can block light bar and rumble commands or change the reports. Close them while testing.

The gyro values are not exactly zero at rest.

Raw sensor values always have a small offset. Put the controller on a table and press "Set zero". Values are shown in approximate degrees per second without factory calibration.

Are Xbox and Switch controllers supported?

Switch Pro Controller and Joy-Con work: buttons, sticks, motion sensors, player lights and rumble. Their stick and motion values are approximate because the factory calibration is not read. Xbox controllers have no motion sensors; check them in the gamepad test.
