    Sensor tracking

Draw slow and fast lines. Broken or shaky lines can point to a dirty sensor or surface problem.

    How to use

    1. Click each button inside the test area, including the side buttons. Each one lights up and counts.
    2. Move the mouse quickly in circles over the polling box to read its report rate.
    3. Single-click repeatedly on the double-click pad. Two presses closer than the threshold mean the switch is chattering.
    4. For DPI, enter a distance, start the measurement and move the mouse exactly that far to the right.

    Frequently asked questions

What polling rate should I see?

Office mice usually report at 125 Hz, gaming mice at 500 or 1000 Hz and some newer ones at 2000 Hz and above. Readings swing a little; look at the stable maximum while moving fast.

My mouse double clicks by itself. Is it broken?

If the detector lists double clicks while you click once, the switch is chattering. Cleaning sometimes helps; replacing the switch or the mouse is the lasting fix.

Why is the DPI result different from the box?

Real sensor resolution often differs from the advertised value by a few percent. Measure over a longer distance with a ruler for a better result.
