      NFC test

      Runs locally

      Turn on NFC in the phone settings, press Start scanning and hold a tag to the back of the phone.

      Read a tag
      Press Start scanning, then hold a tag to the phone.
      Write to a tag

      Writing replaces the content of the tag. Locked tags cannot be written.

      How to use

      1. Open this page in Chrome on an Android phone and turn on NFC in the settings.
      2. Press Start scanning and allow NFC access.
      3. Hold an NFC tag, sticker or card to the back of the phone (usually near the camera) for a second.
      4. To write, enter a link or text, press Write to tag and hold a writable tag to the phone.

      Frequently asked questions

      Why is NFC not supported?

      Web NFC works only in Chrome on Android. iPhones and computers do not allow websites to use NFC. Also make sure NFC is turned on in the phone settings.

      Can it read my bank card?

      It shows the card's serial number at most. Bank cards do not store readable NDEF data, and no payment information can be read through the browser.

      Where is the NFC antenna?

      On most phones it is in the middle or upper part of the back. Move the tag slowly over the back until the phone vibrates.
