How to use
- Choose whether to include the system sound and which microphone to use.
- Press Start recording and pick the screen, window or tab to share.
- Record; you can pause and resume. Press Stop or the browser's "Stop sharing" button to finish.
- Watch the recording and download it.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on phones?
Screen recording in the browser works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Opera on computers. Phones do not allow it from a website; use the built-in screen recorder of iOS or Android.
Why is there no system sound?
Chrome and Edge can share sound for a browser tab, and on Windows also for the whole screen — tick "Share system audio" in the sharing dialog. macOS does not allow system sound from the browser.
Which format is the video?
MP4 if your browser supports it (recent Chrome and Edge), otherwise WebM. Both play in browsers and VLC; use Compress video to convert a WebM to MP4.
Is the recording uploaded?
No. It is recorded in your browser memory and only saved when you download it.
