Frequently asked questions
Which ratio do social networks use?
Reels, TikTok and Shorts use 9:16, Instagram feed posts 1:1 or 4:5, and YouTube and most players 16:9.
Does the quality drop?
The video is re-encoded once with H.264. “High” quality is visually lossless; “balanced” gives smaller files that look the same on phones.
My video plays sideways only on some devices.
Phones store a rotation flag that some players ignore. Rotating here writes the pixels in the right orientation, so it looks right everywhere.
